I know in the last article I said that I wouldn’t talk about this show because most people would say that this show is bad. That this show is one of the worst there is right next to Wizard and Black RX, but I myself found myself enjoying this show so much, in fact, I would consider this as my number favorite season of Kamen Rider of all time. I'm sure that the other 10% of this fanbase also agrees so let's do it.

Story
"I am Takeru Tenkuji. On my 18th birthday, I was killed by rampaging Gamma. In order to come back to life, I became Kamen Rider Ghost and began gathering the Eyecons."

Takeru Tenkūji, whose father was a ghost hunter who died 10 years earlier, dies at the hands of evil monsters known as a Gamma. A mysterious hermit named Edith brings Takeru back to life and bestows upon him the Ghost Driver transformation belt and a Ghost Eyecon. An orb-shaped device that can see spirits of dead creatures, Gamma, and other Riders. Edith, nicknamed “Gramps,” tells Takeru that he has 99 days to gather 15 additional heroic Eyecons in order to be brought back to life permanently. He must fight the Gamma as Kamen Rider Ghost to obtain them. He is assisted by the Buddhist monk named Onari, who previously supported his father as a ghost hunter, and Akari, a childhood friend who tries to find more scientific and logical reasons behind their supernatural encounters. In his way are Makoto Fukami, a mysterious living young man capable of utilizing a Ghost Driver to transform into Kamen Rider Specter; the Gamma led by Chikara Saionji, an associate of Takeru's late father, and Alain, the son of the Gamma leader, who later acquires the means to transform into the anti-hero Kamen Rider Necrom. It then becomes a race to see who collects all the eyecons for their own means. Who’s fate will be sealed?
Opening
Warera Omou, Yue Ni Warera Ari, translated to "We think, therefore we are", is the opening theme for the show. It was performed by Kishidan. It was also used as a stand-in for an insert theme in episodes 33 and 38 and was played at the end of episode 49 instead of the beginning. This song can be mistaken as a shonen anime opening, but that can be a good thing, it’s a great song, definitely a favorite.

Takeru would spend several years in his late father's lab studying the Stories of the World's Greatest People to become a ghost hunter. but eventually felt closer to despair when he wasn't able to witness any of them. On his 18th birthday, he was mailed a blank Ghost Eyecon from his late father, allowing him to see ghosts but at the same time becoming a target of Katana and Yari Gamma. He boldly faces them, but his lack of combat training eventually leads to his own death. He was soon revived as a ghost by Sennin, giving him a Ghost Driver and the duty to collect all 15 Heroes' Eyecons to revive himself within the period of 99 days. He was also entrusted with Yurusen, a small phantasm that would teach him how to use his powers. Now as the warrior Kamen Rider Ghost, he utilized his newfound power to fulfill his role as a Ghost Hunter to first defeat his murderers and then to prevent more targeted civilians from becoming sacrifices of the Gamma.To further assist Takeru, Onari, who helped raise Takeru after his father’s death, forms an investigation group called the Mysterious Phenomenon Institute that bends on solving paranormal cases that may be related to the Gamma.

Mysterious Phenomenon Institute
Mysterious Phenomenon Institute is a small organization founded by Onari, its members being mostly composed of Daitenku Temple residents. While it being called "institute" is a bit of a creative stretch, the organization's main goal is solving paranormal activities, which often results in eliminating Gamma, and collect the Ghost Eyecons.They are based in the Daitenku Temple and uses Ryu Tenkuji's lab as a meeting place. This group is also regarded as a spiritual successor to the former's Ghost Hunters team.The members include Takeru, Onari, Akari Tsukimura, a childhood friend of Takeru as the Scientist and Researcher. As well as Shibuya Hachioji and Narita Kisarazu who train under Onari as just supporting members of the institute.

Makoto Fukami is Kamen Rider Specter, the second Kamen Rider to appear in Kamen Rider Ghost. Makoto and his sister Kanon were once childhood friends of Takeru and Akari. He was looked up to by Takeru, who called him Big Brother Makoto. However, by mistake during a freak accident with the temple's monolith, the two were accidentally pulled into the Gamma dimension and were trapped. The siblings were found by the Gamma princess Alia, who watched over them. At a young age, Makoto was granted a Ghost Driver and the Specter Ghost Eyecon by Edith allowing him to become Kamen Rider Specter. After approximately eight years in the Gamma World, the atmosphere took its toll on Kanon. This resulted in her human body perishing while she was left reduced to the form of a Gamma Eyecon which preserved her soul. Learning of the Great Eye, Makoto took to gathering the fifteen Ghost Eyecons so he could access its power to resurrect his sister. That’s all I’ll say because he’s not that great. Not the worst, but not that great.

Kamen Rider Ghost: The 100 Eyecons and Ghost's Fateful Moment is a movie. After chasing the mysterious Kamen Rider Dark Ghost, who had suddenly appeared, Takeru arrives at a strange village full of historical figures. Attempting to gather 100 Eyecons, Alain’s dead brother Argos - Kamen Rider Dark Ghost - wishes to create the Ultimate Eyecon and turn everyone on Earth into ghosts. Meanwhile, Makoto’s father Daigo Fukami is seen in the village. Transforming into Kamen Rider Zero Specter, is Daigo an ally or an enemy? This movie takes place between episodes 42 and 43. I have yet to see this movie at the time making this, but no.

Something Good
Oh, saving grace something good. Alain is the youngest child of the Grand Imperial Majesty Adonis and the prince of the Gamma. He was the original leader of the Demia Project on Earth. He later gains the ability to transform into Kamen Rider Necrom, nicknamed by some fans as “Kamen Rider Ben 10” for how the green on his suits lights up and that he can transform for a certain amount of time. Alain was first introduced to Makoto and Kanon, two humans who had been trapped in the Gamma World, by his sister Alia. While initially apathetic towards the humans, Alain gained respect for an older Makoto after the latter displayed combat skills that finally allowed Alain to train properly. He eventually befriended the Fukami siblings, labeling Makoto as his best friend. Kanon would credit Alain for watching over them in the Gamma World, although Alain himself believed he did little. Having had enough of Takeru, Alain took the Mega Ulorder, becoming Kamen Rider Necrom to finish the job himself. In his first battle as Necrom, he defeated Ghost and Specter with ease, forcing the two to retreat. Alain after being in despair realized that the Gamma World was not the perfect ideal. He vowed his vendetta against it and joined both Takeru and Makoto to fight. Towards the end, Alain chose to stay in the human world to learn more about it. Aka a good Character, and he is my favorite so it all works out.

Eyecons are eyeball-like devices used by the Riders from the show. There are two types of Eyecons, one embodying heroic spirits called Ghost Eyecons,a nd the other being sentient Gamma Eyecons. These Eyecons have the souls of Famous Historical People in them, such as Musashi Miyamoto as a sword form, Billy the Kid for his Gun form, Robin Hood, Beethoven, Goemon, Himiko, and The Brothers Grimm, etc. There are fifteen eyecons in total in show, not including movies,shorts, or spin-offs.

The Gamma is an evil race of extra-dimensional creatures who were transported to Earth through an eye-like gate, seeking to obtain the Eyecons for an unknown evil purpose. The Katana Gamma killed Takeru in an effort to obtain a Ghost Eyecon given to him by the spirit of his late father. The Gamma do not possess unique abilities of their own, but rather gain their powers through objects around them. They were once led by Alain and his mysterious benefactor. The Gammas all have a light blue-colored eye design to them. Appearing as ghosts in the physical world, they are invisible to the normal human eye, but can be seen by other spirits or people holding a Ghost Eyecon. One of their modus operandi is to influence people to commit evil until they go mad, then use the energy of that influence to sacrifice their target's life to create a ghost which they harvest to create Eyecons. Gamma can also possess humans and control their actions or plant ideas in their heads to motivate them to do their bidding. If a human becomes possessed by a Gamma for 99 days, their soul is destroyed and the Gamma becomes the permanent resident of the host body. That’s pretty much everything since they’re kinda boring.

A good movie
Kamen Rider 1 is a film part of the 45th anniversary of the Kamen Rider Series. It is also part of Toei Company's Super Hero Year project. The film was released on March 26, 2016 in Japanese theaters. The film features Kamen Rider 1 and the Ghost Riders as they fight against the remnants of the Organization Shocker and the splinter faction, Nova Shocker. 45 years ago, a man was subjected to the experiments of the secret organization Shocker and became a cyborg. Since that day, the man’s sole mission has been protecting humanity and justice from the threat of Shocker. His name is Takeshi Hongo, the first Kamen Rider. Forty-five years since his transformation, he has returned to Japan once more to protect a girl who seems to be crucial to Shocker's plans to resurrect Ambassador Hell. Takeru and Makoto join to help him. However, the years have not been kind to Hongo, whose cyborg body has become weaker. They must also contend with another evil organization claiming to be Shocker known as Nova Shocker. In the wake of this new threat to the world, Takeshi Hongo transforms as his voice cries “Henshin!” Will this be the final chapter in the story of Takeshi Hongo? Or will it be the prologue of a brand new legend? For life, love, and future, and with 50 Pounds of Determination, and compared to the rest show, it’s amazing.

So, a ghost is something that can’t die, right? Takeru is a ghost, right? No, apparently not because he dies a total, a total of FIVE TIMES. Because he’s Mario with the 1-ups. The show forgets, that Takeru, a GHOST, in Kamen Rider GHOST, is a Ghost. His character is inconsistent.Everything else in this show was just done either decent or just really bad.

Is this show bad? Yes entirely bad, not as good as I remember, but I still have a fun time watching it. All the bad S**t really brought this show down in terms of ratings, but for the once in a blue moon good moments, there are actually not that bad. This is that type of show you would watch on a lazy Saturday afternoon if all other forms of entertainment are gone. But this show fine to get through. Next time,i guess we’ll just have to “Wake Up”
